Steve spoke at the Rise & Design event run by Design Network North this morning and the comments and feedback both in person and on LinkedIn were so warm and welcoming of our Social Enterprise Model

There were fabulous, amusing, challenging and educational talks by Jonathan Butters and Daniel Isler as well as our own Steve Threlfall

Steve talked about how design thinking and user centred design has permeated all the services and projects we offer – including the community engagement work of We Make Places, the learning programme run under the Urban Workbench Brand and of course our Life of Ply enterprise which manufactures kitchen doors and panels in plywood and sells direct to consumers.

The response was great and reminded me why it’s good to reflect on our processes and talk about them – it ignites not just our own passions but those of our wider community. And we are all about community ….. in creation as well as delivery
